Why my app, Strength in Midlife, isn't your average fitness app

Hey Reader,

There are a lot of fitness apps out there, which is why I was hesitant to build one in the first place.

Many fitness apps are built around pushing harder, burning more, and following one-size-fits-all workouts -- which can feel too intense and high pressure in a way that's not encouraging. On the other hand, some fitness apps, especially driven by AI, can overcompensate for older women.

Here's a wild story about how:

One of the women who is currently using my app, Strength in Midlife, tried a different fitness app, driven by AI. She's very active already, logging well over the 10k steps (daily) target many folks aim for. After 2 weeks of walking 100k, then 80k, the app gave her a significantly lower target for walking the following week. She ignored it, of course -- and stopped using the app, because she knows her body and the AI was making ridiculous suggestions.

She also told me that the same fitness app was suggesting workouts, but not with videos giving guidance. Just random exercises with not explanation of what to do or how to do it.

So while the app erred on the side of caution for walking, it swung in the other direction for strength.

After using my app for a few weeks, her experience with my app is vastly different than the app she initially used.

She says, "I feel very safe with your videos. You pay a lot of attention to form. I feel challenged at the same time that you give permission to rest or modify as needed. Your coach is affirming, but the big difference I see is that it makes constructive suggestions. It isn’t weird or over cautious if I mention an issue or limitation. The most important thing is that I know you’re out there if there’s a big question or need."

This is exactly what I was aiming for when I created my app Strength in Midlife -- A Daily Movement App for Aging Well.

This app is designed specifically for women who want to feel stronger and more confident in their bodies as they age — without being overwhelmed, shamed, or pushed into workouts that don’t feel supportive.

Inside the app, you’ll get:

  • Strength training that helps you feel comfortable lifting weights
  • Yoga-inspired mobility and recovery practices
  • Daily movement guidance that meets you where you are
  • Support for building consistency without perfectionism
  • Encouragement rooted in 21 years of teaching yoga and movement
  • A personalized plan that helps you progress at your own pace

This isn’t a generic fitness app telling you to do more.

It’s a supportive daily movement practice designed for this season of life — one that actually helps you build strength, confidence, and trust in your body.

Right now, you can purchase my app for 20% off. That means you can get access to the app for an entire year for just $199. If you want a little less commitment, you can get 3 months for $79.

And even better, you can try it out for 7 days and if it's not for you, you can ask for a full refund.

So if you haven't checked it out yet, go take a look at Strength in Midlife -- A Daily Movement App for Aging Well.

I am monumentally proud of what I have created. My hope is that it will make daily movement more accessible, strength more attainable, and aging feel more powerful.

Please head on over to Strength in Midlife and learn a little more about my app. Even if it's not for you, it might benefit someone you know.

Let's get stronger, together!

Naomi
